Introduction
Our client is a practice hiring a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to provide high-quality medical care for dogs and cats within a collaborative small animal general practice environment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking a supportive, community-focused clinic with a varied caseload and strong client relationships.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a diverse caseload including wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, advanced surgical procedures, preventative care, and endocrinology cases. Responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnostics, surgical and dental procedures, client education, and collaborating closely with the veterinary and support teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care. The role offers a balanced appointment and surgery schedule within a collaborative clinical setting.
Practice Details
This small animal general practice is equipped with digital X-ray technology, in-house diagnostics, a surgical suite, and dental services to support comprehensive patient care. The hospital sees an average daily patient volume of 16–18 appointments per day and 10–13 appointments on surgery days. Services include wellness assessments, surgery, spays and neuters, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, parasite prevention, deworming, allergies and dermatology, microchipping, and endocrinology services. Operating hours are Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Team
The hospital is supported by 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, with a 1:1 to 1:1.5 DVM-to-technician ratio. The environment emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and providing personalized care to both patients and clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
