Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Medical Director within an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital focuses exclusively on treating dogs and cats and is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care supported by advanced diagnostics and a strong reputation within the local community. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian looking to take on a leadership role while continuing to practice clinical medicine in a collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead both the clinical and cultural direction of the hospital while remaining actively involved in patient care. Clinical responsibilities include examinations, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and case management, alongside clear client communication and education. In addition to clinical duties, the role involves mentoring and developing associate veterinarians, guiding medical protocols, leading team meetings, and fostering a collaborative and growth-focused culture. The Medical Director will work closely with hospital leadership to support team engagement, operational performance, and high standards of patient care. This position is designed for an experienced veterinarian with leadership capability and a commitment to clinical excellence.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice operates on an appointment-only basis, with urgent and emergency cases accommodated during business hours. The facility is AAHA accredited and equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including digital radiology and in-house ultrasound, supporting efficient and accurate diagnosis. Services include wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, senior care, dermatology, parasite prevention, microchipping, acupuncture, nutrition support, and laser therapy. The hospital maintains high medical standards and provides access to internal specialty consultations and educational resources, supporting a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a collaborative and skilled paraprofessional staff. The environment emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and ongoing professional development, enabling veterinarians to deliver high-quality care while benefiting from strong clinical support and shared expertise.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
