Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary clinic and is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice is a small animal clinic providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats and is seeking a veterinarian to join a supportive and collaborative team.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday and Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The position is full-time and flexible scheduling is available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining patients, diagnosing medical conditions, and delivering high-quality veterinary care. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, vaccinations, urgent care, end-of-life care, prescribing medications, and client education. The role involves operating diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography and ultrasound and working closely with the team to ensure a high standard of patient care. This position is suitable for an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The clinic is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, electrocardiogram capabilities, in-house blood analyzers, an advanced in-house laboratory, and electronic medical records. Services offered include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, laboratory testing, urgent care, nutrition, pharmacy services, microchipping, reproductive services, pet boarding and bathing, and end-of-life care. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, personalized patient care, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Team
The practice currently has one DVM and a supportive team environment that values collaboration, communication, and continued learning.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
