Job Description
Introduction
This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Tempe, Arizona is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team of three doctors. Caring for both dogs and cats, the practice offers a varied caseload ranging from routine wellness appointments to more complex medical cases, all within a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high-quality patient care.
Role Description and Responsibilities
You’ll provide comprehensive medical care, preventative medicine, diagnostics, and treatment for companion animals while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Working alongside an experienced veterinary team, you’ll collaborate on cases, contribute to a positive hospital culture, and have the opportunity to continue developing your clinical skills. The practice welcomes both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with structured mentorship available to help you succeed.
Practice Details
This well-equipped hospital combines modern technology with a strong commitment to patient safety and compassionate care. Facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, hands-free radiology protocols, and Fear Free handling techniques whenever possible. As an AAHA-accredited practice, the hospital maintains high clinical standards while offering flexible scheduling with both 8 and 10-hour shifts available. Full-time and part-time opportunities are offered, with the hospital open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm on a rotating weekend schedule.
Team
The hospital currently has three veterinarians supported by an experienced nursing and client care team that values collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning. Doctors enjoy working in a supportive environment where teamwork and excellent patient care are at the centre of everything they do.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
