Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice hiring a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their mixed animal team caring for both small and large animals. This family-feel satellite practice offers a welcoming environment with access to the resources, equipment, and medicines of a larger affiliated hospital. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about patient care and looking for strong work-life balance in a supportive community-focused setting.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide care for both small and large animals, including sick pet exams, vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, digital radiography, laser therapy, and end-of-life care. The role involves working with a diverse client base that is highly receptive to treatment recommendations and committed to providing the best care for their animals. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment while delivering compassionate veterinary medicine across a varied caseload that includes horses, cows, pigs, small ruminants, and companion animals.
Practice Details
This satellite location provides access to extensive hospital resources, equipment, and medications through its affiliated practice network. Services include sick pet exams, pet vaccinations, large animal care, pet surgery, pet dentistry, digital X-ray, laser therapy, an on-site pharmacy, and at-home euthanasia services. The hospital serves both companion animals and large animals including horses, cows, pigs, and small ruminants. The practice operates Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and emphasizes a strong work-life balance and community-centered veterinary care.
Team
The hospital currently has 6 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is welcoming, collaborative, and designed to support veterinarians with access to shared resources and experienced colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
