A long-established, AAHA-accredited animal hospital in Taylorsville, Utah is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its two-doctor team. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role with flexible scheduling options. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Veterinarians may choose between five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, with a shared rotation of Saturdays. The structure is designed to provide consistency while allowing flexibility to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care to canine and feline patients, managing a mix of wellness and sick visits. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, carrying out soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures, maintaining thorough medical records, and communicating clearly and compassionately with clients. The role also involves collaborating closely with fellow veterinarians and support staff to ensure a cohesive, team-based approach to patient care. New graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive structured mentorship to build confidence and clinical proficiency in a supportive setting.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service general practice equipped with digital radiography, dental radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory capabilities, an in-house pharmacy, endoscopy, laser therapy, and a dedicated surgical suite for soft tissue procedures. Fear-free techniques are incorporated whenever possible to create a calm and positive experience for patients. With a long-standing presence in the community, the hospital has built strong client relationships and maintains a steady caseload across preventive care, diagnostics, and medical management.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
