Introduction
A well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Tacoma, Washington is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its long-standing and highly supportive clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who values consistency, modern medicine, and working alongside colleagues who genuinely enjoy coming to work together.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with the practice closed on Sundays. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, offering flexibility while maintaining predictable hours and no on-call responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will deliver comprehensive general practice care for dogs and cats, managing a balanced caseload that includes wellness visits, sick appointments, routine surgeries, and dentistry. You’ll be supported to practise high-quality medicine with the autonomy to make sound clinical decisions, while collaborating closely with a skilled veterinary and support team. Clear client communication, Fear Free handling, and a commitment to continuous learning are central to the role. Dedicated mentorship is available, making this a welcoming environment for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment technology, including digital radiography, dental X-ray, ultrasound, and upcoming Phovia light therapy. The light-filled facility features skylights and thoughtfully designed workspaces, including an updated break room stocked with snacks to support staff wellbeing. Hands-free radiology and Fear Free practices are standard, reinforcing a safe and low-stress environment for both patients and team members.

Team

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
