Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing general practice and urgent care team in Swansea, Massachusetts. The practice delivers high-quality veterinary medicine within a collaborative and supportive environment and is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian as it continues to expand services.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options available to support work-life balance. The hospital is open every day from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Specific doctor hours and weekend rotations are to be discussed with the practice, and flexibility is emphasized within the schedule structure.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will practice general medicine while working closely with urgent care and emergency services within the hospital. Clinical responsibilities include managing a diverse caseload, urgent care, treatment and hospitalization, emergency services, emergency surgery, diagnostics and testing, ultrasounds, radiology, and end-of-life care. The role offers clinical autonomy while encouraging collaboration with emergency and specialty teams. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and professional support.

Practice Details
The hospital is a well-established general practice and urgent care facility founded in 2005 and located in Swansea, Massachusetts. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic and medical technology, including digital radiology with in-house radiologist interpretation, telemetry EKG, a full in-house laboratory with CBC, chemistry and blood gas analysis, a Bionate machine for quantitative CPL/FPL and pro-BNP testing, in-house endocrine and inflammatory testing, point-of-care ultrasound, cautery and Ligasure, and a virtual whiteboard with a paper-light Avimark practice management system. The culture is supportive, collaborative, and focused on delivering high-quality medicine while maintaining an enjoyable workplace.

Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a strong and skilled support staff. The environment is mentorship-focused and highly collaborative, with team members working together across general practice, urgent care, and emergency services.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
