Our client is a practice providing care for small animal patients and is seeking a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Summerville, South Carolina. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care while building strong relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities include performing wellness examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, educating clients, and collaborating closely with a highly trained support team. Clinical exposure includes preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, emergency and trauma care, orthopedic procedures, soft tissue surgery, urological care, vision correction procedures, spay and neuter surgeries, and mass and skin tag removals. The role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine with significant support from veterinary technicians and support staff. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The practice is a full-service small animal hospital equipped with a full in-house Abaxis laboratory suite, digital radiography, high-speed dental equipment with digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and cold laser therapy. Facilities include designated dog and cat examination rooms, a surgical suite, and an isolation ward. Services offered include wellness visits and diagnostics, animal X-rays, surgery, spay and neuter procedures, dental care, wellness plans, mass and skin tag removals, orthopedic procedures, soft tissue surgery, vision correction, urological care, emergency and trauma care, digital dental X-rays, routine oral examinations, routine dental cleanings, and dental surgery including extractions. The practice places a strong emphasis on teamwork and efficiency, supported by a 6:1 staff-to-doctor ratio, with technicians assisting in medical record entry, invoicing, client education, and treatment administration. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with the practice closed Friday through Sunday.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
