Our client is a well-established mixed animal hospital based in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country, seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. The hospital provides comprehensive care for bovine, equine, small ruminant, swine, cervid, and small animal patients. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The schedule includes a 50/50 split between in-clinic work and field calls, typically two days in the clinic and two days out in the field. Participation in an emergency/on-call rotation shared among the doctors is also required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to both large and small animals. Responsibilities include managing a varied caseload across species, performing field calls, and building long-lasting client relationships within the community. This position is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who values collaboration, professional growth, and variety in their daily work.

Practice Details
The hospital operates within a 10,000 sq. ft. facility featuring six exam rooms, a large surgical suite, and a fully equipped on-site laboratory complete with Idexx technology. Additional resources include in-house milk culture capabilities, Idexx DR X-ray, a new Sonoscape SA ultrasound, mobile DR X-ray units, and large animal ultrasounds. Each veterinarian is supported with a fully stocked truck equipped with a Bowie unit for ambulatory medicine. The practice provides a wide range of services, including small animal, bovine, equine, small ruminant, swine, and white-tail deer care. The culture is highly collaborative, emphasizing teamwork, mentorship, and personalized service using the latest veterinary technology and techniques.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
