Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Caring for cats, dogs, and exotic pets, this opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian looking for a General Practice/Urgent Care Hybrid role with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment, allowing for continuity of care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The General Practice/Urgent Care Hybrid Veterinarian is responsible for delivering high-quality preventive, medical, surgical, and urgent care services to a wide range of companion animal patients. Clinical responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosing and treating routine and urgent medical conditions, interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry where applicable. The role involves managing a varied caseload, including wellness visits, chronic disease management, same-day urgent appointments, minor emergencies, wound management, and stabilization of patients requiring referral. The veterinarian will work collaboratively with the wider clinical team to provide efficient, compassionate care, communicate clearly with clients regarding treatment options and follow-up care, maintain accurate medical records, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment while delivering an exceptional standard of patient and client care. This opportunity is open to experienced veterinarians only. The role offers predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment, with flexibility to build a schedule that supports both the successful candidate and the hospital.

Practice Details
The hospital is open seven days a week as a full-service veterinary hospital.
This state-of-the-art practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology to support high-quality companion animal and exotic animal medicine. Equipment includes surgical and cold lasers, digital radiography (X-ray), ultrasound, digital dental radiography, endoscopy, a comprehensive in-house laboratory, advanced anesthesia monitoring equipment, and specialized rehabilitation equipment. These resources enable veterinarians to efficiently diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions while supporting preventative care, emergency medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, and advanced surgical procedures.
The purpose-designed facility features dedicated examination rooms, emergency and critical care treatment areas, advanced surgical suites, a dedicated dental suite, an in-house laboratory, diagnostic imaging, hospitalization facilities, physical rehabilitation services, and comfortable patient care spaces. Serving the Stroudsburg community for more than 40 years, the practice enables veterinarians to manage a broad range of wellness, medical, emergency, specialty, and surgical cases in an efficient clinical setting.
The practice is proudly AAHA accredited.
A comprehensive range of services is provided for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals, offering a diverse medical, emergency, and specialty caseload. Services include wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, dentistry with digital dental radiography, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, emergency and critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, dermatology, feline hyperthyroid treatment, physical rehabilitation, laser therapy, endoscopy, in-house diagnostics, diagnostic imaging, medical boarding, nutritional counselling, end-of-life care, and the ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions. An online pharmacy also supports convenient continuation of care for clients.

Team
The hospital is home to 10 veterinarians and is supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team of veterinary technicians, assistants, and client care professionals who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive emergency, specialty, and general practice veterinary care. The team is committed to delivering compassionate care while maintaining the high standards required of an AAHA-accredited hospital.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
