Job Description
Introduction
Our client is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-service general practice hospital serving cats and dogs.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays. Scheduling is flexible, with both full-time and part-time options available to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care for companion animals in a collaborative general practice setting. Responsibilities include routine appointments, diagnostics, treatment planning, client communication, and surgery as appropriate to experience level. The hospital offers mentorship and support for new graduates, while also providing autonomy and growth opportunities for experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospital is well equipped and has recently moved into a new state-of-the-art location in Sterling Heights, MI. The facility includes an excellent layout with separate surgical and dental suites, an ICU, an isolation room, and a lobby with both cat and dog waiting rooms. The hospital also has an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, ultrasound, laser therapy, and more. The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides full-service general practice care.
Team
The hospital currently has four DVMs and a great support team. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with the team working together to provide high-quality patient care and a positive workplace culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
