Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital that has been caring for pets in Stephenville, TX for more than 30 years, and is currently hiring a full-time Mixed Animal Veterinarian. The clinic treats cats, dogs, large animals, and occasional exotics, offering a varied and engaging caseload. This role promises professional growth, a collaborative environment, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The position involves a full scope of GP responsibilities, including a mix of clinical duties across wellness, surgery, and general medicine. The role is full-time, with a schedule that includes rotating Saturdays. The hospital is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, providing an inclusive opportunity for candidates at different stages of their careers.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with Saturday hours from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The facility is well-equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house labs, and four exam rooms. For large animal care, the clinic features a hydraulic chute, equine equipment, holding pens, and a 12-stall barn. The practice offers comprehensive medical services, including orthopedic surgery and artificial insemination in dogs. Appointment times vary, with standard 15-minute slots for routine visits and up to 30 minutes for new doctors to ensure thorough care.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by 10 staff members. Technicians handle initial work-ups, allowing veterinarians to focus on diagnosis and treatment, contributing to a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
