Introduction
Our client is a hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. With a strong 4.7-star Google rating and a reputation for compassionate, evidence-based care, this clinic provides a supportive environment where veterinarians can practice high-quality medicine and build meaningful client relationships.

Working Hours / Rota
This role can be full or part time. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Daily responsibilities include building long-term client relationships, diagnosing and treating patients to the highest medical standards, educating clients on findings and treatment plans, and contributing to a collaborative, supportive hospital culture. Clinical responsibilities include wellness exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, surgery, anesthesia and patient monitoring, dental care, microchipping, preventive care, heartworm prevention, dermatology, laser therapy, emergency care, pet nutrition, behavior, pregnancy planning, kitten and puppy care, senior care, and diagnostics using an in-house laboratory.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital offers comprehensive, evidence-based medical care with access to internal specialty consultations and advanced resources. The facility supports a proactive workflow, allowing veterinarians to deliver thorough diagnostics and effective treatment plans. Services include wellness exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, surgery, anesthesia and monitoring, dental care, microchipping, preventive care, heartworm prevention, dermatology, laser therapy, emergency care, nutrition, behavior, pregnancy planning, kitten and puppy care, senior wellness, and in-house laboratory diagnostics.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by a great support staff, creating a stable, collaborative, and growth-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
