Introduction
A long-established mixed-animal hospital that has been caring for the St. George, Utah community since 1989 is looking to hire a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides care across companion animals, livestock and farm animals, giving its veterinarians the opportunity to work with a genuinely varied caseload. Having moved into a new, state-of-the-art facility in 2022, the hospital combines more than three decades of history in the community with a modern environment designed to support high-quality veterinary medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload across general medicine, diagnostics, surgery and dentistry. There’s plenty of scope to use your own clinical judgement when working through cases, while having an experienced group of veterinarians around you to talk things through with when another perspective would be useful. The mixed-animal side of the practice also adds another dimension to the role, with both on-site and in-clinic care available for larger farm animals. The hospital puts a real emphasis on helping its veterinarians continue developing, with ongoing education, clinical resources and support available whether you’re looking to strengthen your existing skills, develop a particular clinical interest or work towards longer-term career goals.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside Urgent Care, Large Animal Care and Orthopedics, with both routine and more advanced medical and surgical cases managed within the practice. The hospital moved into its current state-of-the-art facility in 2022, with equipment and clinical resources including, but not limited to, modern diagnostic technology and state-of-the-art surgical equipment. Saturday Urgent Care is also available, adding further variety to the hospital’s caseload. The practice is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Urgent Care only. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

Team
You’ll be joining an established 5-DVM team alongside a wider group of clinical and client service professionals. There’s a real emphasis on people continuing to learn and develop rather than simply settling into their individual roles, with ongoing education and resources available to support individual career goals. With five veterinarians already working within the hospital, there’s plenty of experience around you to bounce ideas off, talk through more interesting cases and share knowledge with, while still having the independence to take ownership of your own patients and develop your individual approach to practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
