Introduction
An established AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in St. Clair Shores, Michigan is seeking an Associate Veterinarian on a full or part-time basis, to join its multi-doctor team. Serving the local community for more than 30 years, the hospital provides comprehensive small-animal veterinary care within an established General Practice environment. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship, flexible scheduling and continued professional development available to support individual clinical and career goals.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will maintain responsibility for their own cases, developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans and communicating clinical findings and recommendations effectively with clients. The hospital places a strong emphasis on collaboration and provides an established clinical support structure to assist with day-to-day case management. Dedicated mentorship is available, supporting new graduates as they develop their clinical confidence while providing experienced veterinarians with opportunities to pursue further clinical development, leadership or other areas of professional interest.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside Urgent Care, Dentistry, Surgery, Behavioral Counseling and Geriatric Care. Equipment and clinical capabilities include, but are not limited to, In-House Blood Chemistry, Digital Radiography, Laser Surgery and an In-House Pharmacy, supporting the investigation and management of a broad medical and surgical caseload. Urgent Care presentations can be assessed during regular hospital hours, with a veterinarian available on site throughout operating hours. The hospital is open Monday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital operates as an established multi-doctor practice, supported by Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants and client service professionals. The experienced support structure provides assistance across appointments, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry and ongoing patient care, allowing veterinarians to focus on maintaining high clinical standards and effective client communication. The team places a strong emphasis on collaboration and mentorship, with continued education actively supported alongside opportunities to pursue professional credentials, clinical development and future leadership responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
