Introduction
An established neighborhood veterinary practice in St. Clair Shores, Michigan is seeking an Associate Veterinarian on a full or part-time basis, to join its team. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care within a smaller General Practice environment, with an emphasis on developing long-term relationships with clients and their pets. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship, flexible scheduling and continued professional development available to support the incoming veterinarian throughout their career.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will maintain responsibility for their own cases, developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans while clearly communicating findings and recommendations to clients. The position provides the opportunity to build lasting client relationships within an established community practice while working closely with the veterinary and support teams to maintain consistent standards of patient care. Dedicated mentorship is available for new graduates and veterinarians looking to develop in new clinical areas, alongside opportunities for continued education, professional growth and future leadership development.

Practice Details
The practice provides a full scope of GP services, including Wellness and Preventive Care, Diagnostic Care, Dentistry and Surgery, supporting the ongoing medical and surgical needs of its patients within an established neighborhood clinic environment. The practice provides comprehensive care throughout different stages of a patient’s life, with diagnostic investigation and treatment available alongside routine and surgical case management. The hospital’s established General Practice environment provides the incoming veterinarian with the clinical resources required to manage a varied primary-care caseload while maintaining continuity of care for established clients and their pets.

Team
The practice provides a smaller clinical environment supported by an established veterinary and support team. The incoming Associate Veterinarian will work collaboratively with colleagues across appointments, diagnostics, procedures and ongoing patient care, with an emphasis on effective communication and a team-focused approach to veterinary medicine. True mentorship is available for veterinarians beginning their careers or developing in a new direction, while continued education and professional development are supported for doctors looking to expand their clinical capabilities, pursue additional credentials or progress towards future leadership opportunities.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
