Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing veterinary care for dogs and cats in St. Augustine. They are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their experienced and supportive team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and combines high-quality, progressive veterinary medicine with the personalized approach of a community-focused hospital.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide general practice and urgent care medicine, examining patients, diagnosing health conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgery, testing for and vaccinating against diseases, operating medical equipment including X-ray machines, prescribing medication, and advising owners on general care, medical conditions, and treatments. The veterinarian will work collaboratively with the wider team to provide high-quality care. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates will be considered.

Practice Details
The hospital provides general practice and urgent care services including dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition, and pharmacy services. Diagnostic and clinical resources include IDEXX chemistry, hematology and urine SediVue, digital radiography with an AI radiologist consultation tool, board-certified radiologist support, ultrasound, Tonopen, therapeutic laser, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, and three exam rooms. The hospital has access to a mobile internal medicine specialist offering telehealth and in-person consultations, including ultrasound, echocardiography, and endoscopy, alongside referral relationships for CT, advanced surgery, and other specialist care. Low-stress handling and Fear Free techniques are incorporated into patient care, with behavioral support available for particularly fearful or reactive patients. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the hospital closed daily from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
The hospital has two DVMs and a great tenured support team, supported by experienced management and a collaborative clinical environment. The team maintains relationships with specialists including criticalists, surgeons, radiologists, internists, oncologists, neurologists, and ophthalmologists, providing access to additional expertise when required.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
