Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital that has been serving the Springfield community for more than five decades and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join its team on a full-time basis. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, with an emphasis on high-quality, compassionate medicine, strong client relationships, collaborative veterinary care, continued professional development, and a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality veterinary care and exceptional client service while advocating for pets and their quality of life and developing long-term relationships with clients. Responsibilities include completing diagnostic workups, obtaining patient histories, performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, and providing urgent, preventive, and ongoing care. The veterinarian will prescribe and administer medications, vaccines, and other therapies and perform soft-tissue surgery, dental procedures, and other treatments. The role also involves maintaining complete medical records, communicating diagnoses, treatment plans, and home-care instructions, educating clients on pet health, addressing client concerns, maintaining safe and organized clinical areas, and collaborating with the wider veterinary team. This opportunity is for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital offers a full scope of general practice services, including preventive and wellness care, general medicine, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory services and diagnostics, laser therapy, and health certificates. The practice has built long-standing relationships within the Springfield community over more than five decades and focuses on compassionate medicine and treating every patient like part of the family. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM–7:00 PM, select Saturdays from 8:30 AM–3:00 PM, and the hospital is closed on Sundays.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
