Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team, working primarily with dogs and cats in a full-service small animal practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care across a range of general practice services, including comprehensive patient exams, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating conditions, performing surgical procedures, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will be expected to communicate effectively with clients, promote education around preventative care, and collaborate closely with the team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include monitoring hospitalized cases, supporting hospital protocols, and contributing to overall team efficiency. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This is a full-service veterinary hospital offering comprehensive medical services ranging from preventative care to advanced surgical procedures. The practice is well-equipped with in-house labs, ultrasound, laser therapy, and digital radiology, supporting the delivery of gold-standard medicine. The hospital also offers the ability to hospitalize patients 24/7 and performs some orthopedic procedures in-house. With a strong focus on client education and preventative healthcare, the practice maintains a high standard of care within a collaborative and supportive environment. The schedule for this role is primarily Saturdays, with hospital hours running Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and closed on Sundays.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, with an average technician-to-DVM ratio of 2:1, fostering a collaborative and well-supported working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
