Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital provides comprehensive care for small animals alongside avian, reptilian, and pocket pet species, combining preventative and wellness medicine with surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, emergency care, and a range of additional services. The practice offers veterinarians the opportunity to manage a varied medical and surgical caseload while developing their individual clinical interests within a supportive environment focused on high-quality medicine and personalized patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive patient care including wellness and sick-patient examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, preventative medicine, routine surgery, and dentistry. Responsibilities also include educating clients on preventative care and treatment options, building strong relationships with clients, and collaborating with fellow veterinarians and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. The hospital treats traditional small animal patients alongside exotic species, including birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other pocket pets, providing opportunities to work across a varied caseload. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available for doctors at the beginning of their careers.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the hospital closed on Sundays. The practice offers wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, parasite prevention, boarding, microchipping, senior wellness care, nutritional counselling, exotic pet care, emergency care, and laser therapy. Diagnostic capabilities include digital full-body radiography, ultrasound, and comprehensive in-house laboratory testing, including urinalysis, complete blood counts, comprehensive and pre-anesthetic bloodwork, thyroid and liver evaluations, critical care bloodwork, cytology, histopathology, skin cultures, intestinal parasite screening, heartworm testing, infectious disease testing, and senior and adult wellness screening. The hospital provides a wide variety of medical and surgical cases and gives veterinarians the freedom to pursue their individual clinical interests while practising high-quality medicine.

Team
The hospital currently has two DVMs who work alongside dedicated support staff in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The practice places an emphasis on teamwork, professional growth, and supporting its veterinarians in delivering excellent patient care. Experienced doctors and staff provide mentorship for new graduates, while continuing education and professional development opportunities are available to support veterinarians throughout their careers.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
