Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary practice that has been providing veterinary services in their community for over 45 years, building a loyal clientele while continuing to grow. They are currently hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian, working with cats and dogs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, offering a varied caseload across routine and more complex cases. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, making it an excellent opportunity for those at different stages of their careers. Full-time veterinarians work four days per week and participate in a rotating Saturday schedule, with specific hours to be discussed.

Practice Details
The practice operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. It is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, and dental x-ray, though equipment is not limited to these. Facilities include six exam rooms, an in-house surgery suite, an isolation ward, an intensive care unit, a dedicated “Cool Cat” lounge, an in-office surgical suite, and an in-house pharmacy. The practice is AAHA-accredited and affiliated with the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. Services offered cover the full scope of general practice as well as orthopedics, advanced dental care, cardiology services, radioactive iodine therapy, ophthalmology, video otoscopy, and oxygen and transfusion therapy. The team is committed to using fear-free techniques where possible and also provides pet counselling, boarding and emergency care.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by a well-tenured group of technicians, and other pet-friendly support staff. All team members are trained to high standards and possess thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines, contributing to a collaborative and knowledgeable working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
