Job Description
Introduction
An AAHA accredited small animal hospital in Spokane, Washington is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its established veterinary team. The practice is also Fear Free certified and is known for delivering high quality veterinary medicine within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment. With strong community involvement and partnerships with local animal welfare organizations, this opportunity is well suited to a veterinarian who values both clinical excellence and meaningful community engagement.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This consistent weekday schedule provides a structured rota that supports strong team collaboration and a balanced work life routine.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal care including wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry and surgical procedures. Responsibilities include guiding patient care from consultation through treatment, communicating clearly with clients and collaborating closely with the veterinary team to maintain high clinical standards. The practice primarily treats dogs and cats with the opportunity to introduce exotic medicine for veterinarians with an interest in expanding this service.

This AAHA accredited hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities including ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced dentistry, dental radiography and digital radiography. The practice follows hands free radiology safety protocols and emphasizes Fear Free handling techniques to reduce stress for patients. The hospital is also actively involved with local organizations including SCRAPS and Spokane Humane Society, reflecting a strong commitment to animal welfare within the community.
Team
The hospital is supported by a team of four veterinarians alongside experienced technicians and dedicated support staff who work together to provide collaborative and compassionate veterinary care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
