Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established AAHA-accredited hospital in South Plainfield, NJ, seeking a full-time Exotics Veterinarian to join their growing team. The hospital has been a trusted provider in the community since 1952 and has offered exotics care for over 10 years.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The incoming veterinarian will focus on treating exotic species, including reptiles, avians, and small mammals. Experience with canine and feline patients is considered a plus. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with in-house laboratory capabilities, digital radiography, dental radiography, and ultrasound. It maintains a collaborative relationship with an internist for specialized care. The hospital offers full-service medical and dental care, cold laser therapy, and preventive medicine. It is known locally as a referral center for exotic species due to its longstanding expertise.

Team
The team consists of six DVMs and a fantastic support staff committed to providing exceptional care in a collaborative and positive environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
