Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital in the South Hadley, Massachusetts area, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established practice serving the surrounding communities. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for a diverse companion animal population and is seeking a veterinarian who values collaboration, high-quality medicine, and strong client relationships.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and Sunday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, including evening and weekend shifts.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide wellness, sick, and urgent care services while delivering compassionate, high-quality medicine. Clinical responsibilities include preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, internal medicine, and client education. The role emphasizes teamwork, Fear Free handling, and clear communication with pet owners. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available for those early in their careers.

Practice Details
This hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment technology to support advanced small animal care. Equipment includes ultrasound, digital and hands-free radiography, dental radiography, Tonopen, an in-house pharmacy, and a fully equipped surgical suite with isolation and hospitalization capabilities. Services offered span preventive and wellness care, urgent care, diagnostics, internal medicine, general and routine surgery, dentistry, pain management, geriatric care, and end-of-life support. The practice culture is Fear Free–focused, patient-centered, and committed to continuous learning and clinical excellence.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of two DVMs and a great tenured support staff, with one to two technicians per doctor in addition to float and treatment technicians. The environment is highly collaborative and mentoring-focused, with many skilled certified veterinary technicians and a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
