Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital in Sonora, California seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. The practice serves a broad caseload including cats, dogs, exotic mammals, and large animals.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. The hospital are open to both full-time and part-time schedules.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality medical care. Responsibilities include routine exams, wellness and preventive care, surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, and client communication. The position is best suited to someone comfortable managing a varied caseload with support from a well-equipped hospital team.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides a wide range of services including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, internal medicine, surgery, and boarding. The clinic is also working toward Fear Free certification. Care is extended to both exotic mammals and large animals, although participation in those cases is optional.
The facility is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, tonopen, ECG/EKG, in-house bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, and digital dental X-rays.

Team
The current team includes 1 DVM, supported by experienced technicians and support staff. The culture emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
