Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic provides a wide range of veterinary services, focusing on delivering high-quality care across preventative medicine, surgery, and dentistry within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekend or evening coverage required. This is a part-time position offering predictable hours and flexibility, with a consistent home hospital assignment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups, conducting diagnostic procedures and surgery, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves client communication and education, prescribing medications, and following controlled substance protocols. Additional duties include collaborating with the Hospital Manager on operational priorities, monitoring cases and attending rounds, supporting daily hospital workflows, and contributing to team efficiency and ongoing training initiatives.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with high-quality diagnostic equipment including an in-house laboratory, surgical suite, ultrasound, digital radiography with board-certified reports, and digital dental radiography. It utilizes a paper-light system supported by Avimark, AllyDVM, and Covet AI scribe. Facilities include a dedicated surgical suite and three spacious exam rooms. The clinic offers a full range of services including vaccinations and prevention, routine exams, internal medicine, dental care, geriatric care, care for puppies and kittens, emergency care, and surgery. The practice is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care and emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and strong client relationships.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, with a 2:1 technician-to-DVM ratio, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
