Job Description

This hospital are a progressive multi-doctor, multi-species practice located in beautiful Western Washington. Their location offers the best of both worlds, being only 30 minutes away from Seattle yet situated in a growing rural setting. The majority of farm calls they receive are within a 30-mile radius of the clinic. The area also provides numerous recreational opportunities, such as skiing in the morning, hiking in the afternoon, and enjoying the extensive offerings of the Puget Sound.
The practice boasts a stable and educated support staff, along with a 23-acre facility. They have 4 Digital X-Ray machines, measuring 1.5m and 3.3m respectively, as well as 2 portable ultrasound units, an MRI, shockwave equipment, a reference-quality in-house lab, and a fully staffed equine referral hospital. The hospital provides 24-hour nursing care and has 2 surgical suites.
The primary duties of the veterinarians at this practice consist of approximately 85% Equine care, with a focus on preventative and geriatric care. The remaining 15% of their work involves small ruminants and camelids. They are responsible for conducting farm calls and appointments at their haul-in facility. Additionally, they are expected to provide ambulatory emergency coverage on a shared rotation basis.
