Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their team working with cats and dogs. This part-time opportunity is based within a full-service veterinary hospital focused on preventative medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and building strong client relationships within a collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive patient care including physical examinations, diagnostics, preventative medicine, treatment planning, and client communication. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating diseases, developing complete diagnostic and treatment plans, maintaining detailed medical records, and ensuring continuity of care for patients. The role also includes managing hospitalized patients, participating in rounds, supporting continuity of care with referral hospitals, and maintaining accurate controlled substance logbooks when applicable. Surgical and dental capabilities are preferred, including performing routine and complex surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory procedures, and mass removals, alongside dental procedures including extractions and oral surgery. Additional responsibilities include supporting staff education and contributing to high standards of communication and patient care throughout the hospital.

Practice Details
This full-service veterinary hospital offers services including vaccines and microchipping, routine wellness care, illness and injury care with diagnostic imaging, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and prescriptions. The practice supports veterinarians with advanced equipment including ultrasound technology, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and DDXR imaging systems. The hospital emphasizes collaborative teamwork, exceptional patient care, and professional development supported by experienced medical leadership and skilled paraprofessional teams. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and closed on Sundays.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
