Job Description

Introduction
An AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Lakeside, Arizona is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a four-doctor team. Founded in 2009, the hospital is known for high quality medicine, strong client relationships, and a collaborative environment that supports consistency, communication, and long-term team retention.

Working Hours / Rota
Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Fridays 8:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm, and Saturdays 9:00am to 1:00pm. The practice is closed Sundays. Full time and part time schedules are available, with a shared on call rotation for established clients.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive companion animal care including wellness, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and end of life care. The role involves patient examinations, treatment planning, client communication, accurate medical records, and practicing in line with veterinary ethics and regulations.

Practice Details
This paperless, technology forward hospital offers preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and full in-house diagnostics. Emergency care is provided for established clients, and the clinic maintains feline friendly protocols with dedicated cat only spaces.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
