Job Description

Introduction
This established feline-exclusive veterinary hospital in Shoreline, Washington is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its eight-doctor team. Founded in 1981 as one of the first cats-only practices in the United States, the hospital is dedicated entirely to feline medicine, allowing its doctors to develop deeper expertise across feline health, behaviour and nutrition. Previous feline-specific experience is welcomed but not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who simply loves working with cats and wants to develop their knowledge alongside an experienced team of feline-focused clinicians.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with Sundays closed. The position provides exposure to a varied feline caseload ranging from routine preventative appointments through to more complex medical and surgical cases.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll work exclusively with feline patients, providing preventative healthcare, diagnostics, dentistry and surgery while managing more complex internal medicine, geriatric, behavioural and nutritional cases. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with veterinarians who have chosen to focus their careers specifically on feline medicine, providing an excellent environment for developing your own expertise. The practice is looking for someone passionate about cats, comfortable with cat-friendly handling and keen to build lasting relationships with dedicated cat owners.

Practice Details
The hospital has been designed specifically around the needs of cats, providing a calm environment without dogs or other species present. Clinical capabilities include advanced diagnostics, digital radiography, dentistry, surgery and an in-house laboratory, supported by an experienced nursing and support team with extensive knowledge of feline care. Beyond its veterinary services, the centre also provides dedicated feline boarding and a cat-focused retail area, creating a comprehensive facility centred entirely around cats and their owners.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
