Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice operating across two locations in Connecticut, hiring an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join a compassionate, community-focused team. The hospital delivers integrative veterinary care for canines, felines, exotics, and pocket pets and is committed to practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive care across wellness, sick visits, and surgical cases within a busy general practice setting. Clinical responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, conducting dental and surgical procedures, utilizing diagnostic imaging and in-house laboratory services, and delivering clear, compassionate client communication. The role emphasizes medical autonomy, teamwork, and building long-term client relationships. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who values continuous growth and practicing medicine at a high standard.

Practice Details
This is a well-established, recently renovated general practice offering integrative veterinary care. The facility features additional exam rooms, a new treatment area, a dedicated dental space, and designated inpatient and outpatient treatment areas. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and fully equipped dental and surgical suites. Services provided include wellness and preventive care, advanced diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, behavioral medicine, pain management, hospice and euthanasia care, nutritional counseling, radiology, and integrative treatment options. The practice culture is collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented, with a strong emphasis on gold-standard medicine and community engagement.

Team
The hospital is supported by a strong veterinary and support team with a typical ratio of one to two support staff per doctor. Skilled technicians, dedicated client service representatives, and engaged leadership work closely together to create a positive, team-driven environment focused on excellent patient care and professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
