Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal and exotic animal veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its established General Practice and Urgent Care team. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary services, combining preventative medicine with diagnostics, surgery and urgent care. The practice is also Fear Free and Cat Friendly accredited, offering a collaborative environment where clinical autonomy, professional development and work-life balance are actively encouraged.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload including wellness and preventative medicine, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, urgent care and occasional emergency cases. The role offers opportunities to develop individual clinical interests and introduce additional services to the practice. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship available for those beginning their careers. Doctors work Monday through Friday with no weekend requirements, and the schedule includes every fourth Friday off, providing a three-day weekend each month.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited, Fear Free and Cat Friendly, offering a broad range of medical, surgical and supportive care services. Equipment includes digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, comprehensive in-house laboratory facilities, a dedicated surgical suite and dental table. The hospital also has separate canine, feline and isolation wards, alongside an extensively customized electronic medical records system. Additional services include Class IV laser therapy, massage therapy, canine rehabilitation, pain management, nutritional counseling, hospice and end-of-life care, boarding, grooming and daycare. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekends closed. The practice emphasizes efficient workflows, strong technician utilization and high-quality medicine while maintaining a supportive working environment.

Team
The hospital has four full-time DVMs supported by an experienced veterinary support team, with a target ratio of two technicians per doctor. Technicians are actively involved in taking patient histories, performing diagnostics, administering treatments and preparing patients, allowing veterinarians to focus on examinations and client communication. The practice encourages regular case discussions and collaboration, with a shared doctors’ office providing opportunities for consultation and knowledge sharing throughout the day. Mentorship, structured onboarding and ongoing professional development are available to support veterinarians at different stages of their careers.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
