Introduction
Our client is a hospital for Cats and Dogs that is hiring an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Since 2005, the practice has proudly served the Seattle and surrounding communities with compassionate, high-quality care while remaining dedicated to providing progressive and personalized medical treatment tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing a full scope of general practice services, including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and medical case management. Responsibilities include examining animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgery, testing for and vaccinating against diseases, operating medical equipment such as x-ray machines, prescribing medication, and advising clients on treatment plans and ongoing patient care. The role also requires close collaboration with team members to ensure a consistently high standard of medicine and patient care throughout the hospital. Flexible scheduling is available for this position. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong communication skills who works well within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be a confident diagnostician, skilled surgeon, and comfortable handling all aspects of dentistry, including surgical extractions.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a full scope of GP services within a modern and well-equipped clinical environment. The practice is equipped with advanced medical technology, including but not limited to digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy equipment, digital x-ray, and an in-house laboratory, allowing veterinarians to provide comprehensive diagnostics and treatment on-site. Facilities include four large and well-equipped exam rooms, two full dental suites, an in-house pharmacy, and a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility all under one roof, supporting both efficient workflow and high quality patient care. In addition to general practice services, the hospital also offers rehabilitation services including hydrotherapy, cold laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, regenerative medicine, and acupuncture. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 7:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice environment emphasizes progressive medicine, collaboration, and personalized patient care while supporting veterinarians with the tools and resources needed to manage a varied and rewarding caseload.
Team
The hospital consists of 4 DVMs supported by 12 support staff members within a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The practice maintains a high technician-to-doctor ratio, ensuring strong support for veterinarians and allowing for efficient workflow and high standards of patient care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
