Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital seeking a part-time or full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This practice has been a trusted part of the community since 1989, providing high-quality veterinary care with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine and client education. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with full mentorship available.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., most Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. Flexible scheduling is offered, with options for part-time work at two days per week or a full-time schedule of three to four days per week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The position involves delivering high-quality clinical care, including surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, wellness, and client communication. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, practicing in accordance with state and federal regulations, and working collaboratively with the veterinary team to support hospital goals. The role also offers opportunities to participate in community events and hospital initiatives.

Practice Details
The hospital features advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities, including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory offering CBC, organ-specific chemistries, urinalysis, fecal testing, cytology, and pre-surgical screenings. Additional services include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, preventative care, chronic pain management, and comprehensive wellness plans. A strong focus is placed on patient safety through customized anesthesia protocols and proactive pain management.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
