Introduction
Our client is a well-established, one-doctor small animal practice that has been proudly serving its community since 1979. They are hiring for an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital sees cats and dogs and offers a welcoming, team-oriented culture with a focus on quality medicine and professional growth. Combining long-standing community roots with modern veterinary care, the practice is supported by a strong and efficient team structure.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, providing high-quality care to companion animals in a collaborative clinical setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist with and further develop surgical skills while working alongside existing cases within the practice. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship and surgical skill development available for those looking to grow their confidence and clinical abilities. Doctor hours are flexible and will be discussed to support the right candidate, with the added benefit of no weekend work.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and is closed on weekends. The practice is a 5,100 square foot, three-ward hospital featuring examination rooms as well as separate treatment and surgery areas. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, digital dental X-ray, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The hospital has been AAHA Accredited since 1981 and offers a full scope of general practice services alongside laser therapy. In addition, the practice provides pet behavioural and nutritional counselling, supporting a well-rounded approach to patient care.

Team
The veterinarian joining the team will be supported by a collaborative environment that includes a permanent Medical Director, three relief veterinarians, one licensed veterinary technician, and six technician assistants, two of whom are currently completing their CVT certification. This well-structured team creates a smooth and efficient clinical environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration, mentorship, and support.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
