Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs, cats, and exotics. They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the practice. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and provides a clinical environment focused on high-quality patient care and a positive client experience.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat disease, provide preventive care, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and maintain detailed medical records. Clinical responsibilities include routine and complex surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory surgery and mass removals, alongside dental examinations, dental radiograph evaluation, simple and complex extractions, and oral surgical procedures. The veterinarian will also develop treatment plans for hospitalized patients, coordinate transitions to overnight or referral care when required, participate in rounds at the beginning and end of shifts, and share clinical knowledge with the wider staff. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, heated hydraulic surgery tables, DDXR, X-ray and diagnostic imaging capabilities. Services include vaccinations, microchipping, routine examinations, comprehensive bloodwork, disease screening, behavioral and anxiety evaluations, nutritional consultations, dental care, surgical consultations, sick care, dermatology-related conditions, allergy care, wound care, oral and dental care, X-rays, and ultrasounds. The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sundays.

The hospital has a paraprofessional team supported by medical field leaders, with team members encouraged to develop their skills in areas including dentistry and nutrition. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
