Our client is a full-service small animal hospital in Santa Barbara seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team. With a 4.9-star rating on Google, the practice is highly regarded in the community for its professional, friendly culture and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will bring strong general practice skills with a particular interest in dentistry to complement the hospital’s surgical and wellness services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on weekends, allowing for an excellent work-life balance with no weekend or after-hours responsibilities. This Associate Veterinarian position is offered as a full-time role within these hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including routine exams, preventive health services, dentistry, internal medicine, surgery, and geriatric care. The hospital seeks an experienced veterinarian who excels in both clinical skills and client communication, ensuring high-quality treatment and a positive client experience.

Practice Details
This well-equipped hospital offers a wide range of veterinary services, including vaccinations, routine wellness care, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, and emergency care. Advanced diagnostic capabilities are available through an in-house laboratory with radiography, ultrasound, digital dental radiology, and bloodwork, supported by referral labs for extensive panels and biopsy specimens. The practice culture emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and patient-focused care, allowing doctors to focus on medicine while a skilled support team assists with technical needs.

The hospital is home to 2 DVMs supported by a well-trained and dedicated team of staff members who ensure the smooth running of the practice. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
