Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice on Sanibel Island, Florida. The hospital provides care for cats and dogs and is actively looking for a compassionate and motivated veterinarian to become part of their collaborative and dedicated team. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with structured mentorship and support available for early-career doctors.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers flexibility for full-time or part-time employment. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There is no mention of after-hours or emergency coverage, allowing for a manageable and consistent schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for all duties typically associated with general practice veterinary medicine. This includes preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. The hospital encourages applications from both new graduates and experienced veterinarians, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities in a supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service, modern facility that includes a full dental and surgical suite, five exam rooms, hands-free radiology, and an outdoor turf play yard. Having reopened in June 2024 following Hurricane Ian, the new hospital is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art space designed to serve the needs of pets and their families with enhanced capabilities and technology.

Team
The practice currently has two DVMs and a very well-supported, tenured team. The environment is collaborative and focused on mentorship, ensuring all doctors are supported in delivering high-quality care to patients and exceptional service to clients.
