Job Description

Introduction
An established small animal hospital serving San Tan Valley and Queen Creek, Arizona is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. Providing veterinary care to the local community since 2009, the hospital has developed a loyal client base through its focus on compassionate, relationship-driven medicine and treating every patient as if they were their own. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking for the feel of a welcoming community practice alongside the clinical resources, professional development and wider support available through a larger veterinary network.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time Associate Veterinarian position, with the specific working pattern and rota to be discussed with the successful candidate. The practice is focused on providing general veterinary care for canine and feline patients, allowing doctors to build continuity with clients and develop long-term relationships with the families they serve. The hospital is located on the border of San Tan Valley and Queen Creek, providing a convenient base within the rapidly growing southeast Phoenix metropolitan area.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats, managing a varied general practice caseload that includes preventative healthcare, sick-patient appointments, diagnostics, treatment planning and surgery. You’ll have the clinical freedom to develop appropriate treatment plans while working alongside an experienced veterinary support team and drawing on additional specialist expertise when required. The position would suit a veterinarian who values continuity of care, clear client communication and collaborative medicine, with continuing education, mentorship and professional development available to support your individual clinical interests. Candidates should hold a DVM, VMD or equivalent qualification and be licensed, or eligible for licensure, in Arizona, with an active DEA licence or eligibility to obtain one.

Practice Details
The hospital is a well-established, full-service small animal practice equipped to provide comprehensive care for canine and feline patients. Facilities include four exam rooms and a well-appointed surgical suite, alongside access to Antech reference laboratory services and specialist radiographic interpretation. Advanced surgical procedures and ultrasound services can also be performed within the hospital by visiting specialists, giving doctors access to additional expertise while maintaining continuity for their patients. The practice combines a close-knit local atmosphere with access to wider clinical education, mentorship and professional resources. San Tan Valley and neighbouring Queen Creek offer a growing suburban community on the edge of the Arizona desert, with easy access to hiking, biking and horseback riding as well as restaurants, events and the wider amenities of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
