Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital based in San Jose, CA, hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. They offer comprehensive veterinary services for cats and dogs, from regular checkups and vaccinations to internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, and emergency care. The hospital has built a reputation over the past 50 years for providing quality, professional care with a compassionate touch. They are seeking a compassionate and skilled full or part-time Veterinarian to join their team.
Working Hours / Rota
The position is available on a full or part-time basis. The hospital offers flexible schedules and encourages a well-rounded work/life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include wellness care, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgical procedures. The surgical caseload includes soft tissue surgery, spaying and neutering, ocular procedures, mass removals, foreign body surgeries, wound management, and dental surgery.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a full in-house lab, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, and a dedicated dental suite. They also offer advanced diagnostic testing through their in-house diagnostics lab, supported by ECG, radiography, and digital dental imaging. The facility provides preventive care, dentistry, surgery, and emergency services in one location, supported by a broad and varied service offering designed to meet a wide range of medical needs for pets in San Jose and the surrounding areas.
Team
The hospital team includes 3 DVMs and 18 support staff, including 8 Technicians. The environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff working closely together to deliver high-quality care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
