Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their modern small animal practice in San Jose. This position is part of a well-equipped, recently remodeled hospital that provides high-quality care for dogs and cats within a supportive team environment. Students and new graduates are welcome and will receive dedicated mentorship.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The position may be full-time, part-time or rotating, with full-time schedules including two Saturdays per month.
Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include general wellness care, dental care and a variety of routine medical and surgical procedures. The role involves delivering preventative and healing care supported by advanced diagnostics, modern facilities and hands-free radiology. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital features modern facilities with a dedicated dental suite, separate comfort room and new equipment throughout. It is AAHA accredited and offers diagnostic imaging, echocardiography, EKG, OFA X-ray, tonopen and ultrasound. Services include allergy and dermatology care, anesthesia, dental care and dental X-rays, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health exams, hospitalization, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, internal medicine, intensive care, isolation, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries and spays and neuters. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of primary and advanced care for dogs and cats within a stable and supportive culture.
Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs and 10 support staff, including 2 RVTs, working within a long-tenured and collaborative environment designed to support high standards of care and ongoing professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
