Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice, which primarily treats cats and dogs and also sees pocket pets and exotics through two experienced doctors. This position is part of a supportive, collaborative team equipped with modern technology and committed to high-quality care, including fear-free techniques. Students and new graduates are welcome and will receive dedicated mentorship.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position is full-time and includes rotating weekend shifts.
Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include general wellness care, dental care, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and a wide range of primary and advanced services supported by digital radiography, ultrasound and hands-free radiology. The role focuses on delivering preventative and healing care within a fear-free, patient-centered environment. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound and hands-free radiology techniques. It is AAHA accredited and recognized by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. Facilities include an in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, in-office surgical suite, intensive care capabilities and an isolation ward. Services offered span diagnostic imaging, EKG, OFA X-ray, soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, dental care and dental X-rays, general surgery, hospitalization, internal medicine, pain management, radiology, spays and neuters, allergy and dermatology care, euthanasia services, health exams and house calls. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, high standards of care and a supportive environment for both staff and clients.
Team
The team includes 4 DVMs and 20 support staff, including 5 RVTs, working together in a skilled, collaborative and mentoring-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
