Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, working with cats and dogs. The position is open to either full-time or part-time applicants.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, including routine and preventative care as well as broader clinical duties. Doctor hours are open to discussion, allowing for flexibility. The position is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 am to 6 pm, Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The facility is well-equipped with a full in-house Abaxis lab suite, digital x-ray, high-speed dental equipment with dental x-ray, ultrasound, and cold laser. The practice includes designated dog and cat examination rooms, a surgical suite, and an isolation ward. It offers a full range of general practice services, along with additional services including daycare, boarding, and professional grooming.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a strong team with a 6:1 staff to doctor ratio. Technicians are responsible for medical record entry, invoicing, client education, and treatment administration, contributing to a highly supportive and efficient working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
