Introduction
A newly opened, full-service animal hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its founding DVM and help shape the future of a brand-new practice. This modern hospital has been thoughtfully designed to deliver high-quality medicine within a welcoming, fear-free environment. As the first associate to join the team, you will play a key role in establishing clinical standards, building client relationships, and contributing to the long-term identity and success of the hospital from day one.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a general practice setting. The schedule is structured to provide consistency and balance while supporting the needs of a growing hospital and its developing client base.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will work alongside the founding DVM to deliver comprehensive small animal care, including wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery. Responsibilities include conducting thorough examinations, developing treatment plans, performing surgical and dental procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and communicating clearly and compassionately with clients. As an early member of the team, you will help establish workflows, uphold medical excellence, and model a positive, collaborative culture. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive, veterinarian-led environment while contributing meaningfully to the hospital’s growth and reputation within the community.

Practice Details
The hospital is a brand-new, full-service facility equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, a state-of-the-art surgical suite, and a dedicated dental suite capable of managing urgent surgical needs. An on-site pharmacy and in-house laboratory provide immediate access to medications and diagnostic testing, supporting efficient case management and continuity of care. The space has been intentionally designed with modern, open layouts and bright finishes to create a calm, comfortable experience for pets and their families, with an emphasis on fear-free handling and client-centered service.

Team
You will join the founding DVM as the first Associate Veterinarian, working closely together to build a cohesive, high-performing team. As part of a larger veterinarian-led network, the hospital benefits from operational support and professional development resources while maintaining local autonomy in medical decision-making. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
