Introduction
A well-established AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. Working four 10-hour shifts per week with a rotation of two weekends per month, this position offers an excellent work-life balance while providing the opportunity to see a varied mix of wellness and sick cases. Supported by a team of 14 veterinarians, advanced facilities, and a strong culture of collaboration, you’ll be empowered to practise high-quality medicine every day.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for dogs and cats, including wellness examinations, preventative healthcare, diagnostics, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. You’ll build lasting relationships with clients through clear communication and personalised treatment plans while working closely with experienced colleagues and support staff to deliver outstanding patient care. The role offers clinical autonomy alongside the opportunity to collaborate on a diverse caseload and continue developing your skills.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital has been caring for pets in the local community for nearly 40 years and combines general practice with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house laboratory facilities, and modern surgical equipment, allowing veterinarians to manage a broad range of medical and surgical cases. The team is committed to Fear Free handling whenever possible and provides an environment where high clinical standards and compassionate care go hand in hand.

You’ll join a welcoming team of 14 veterinarians supported by experienced technicians and dedicated client care professionals who value teamwork, mentorship, and continuous learning. The hospital fosters a collaborative culture where doctors are encouraged to share knowledge, support one another, and continue developing professionally, with access to extensive continuing education and the resources of one of the largest veterinary networks in the country.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
