Introduction
Our client is a large animal veterinary practice seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its ambulatory team. The practice provides veterinary services to a diverse large animal client base, with the role comprising approximately 50% calf health, 45% cow-calf, stocker and feedlot work, and 5% dairy. This is an opportunity to join an innovative practice with a particular focus on the calf-raising industry and strong, long-term client relationships.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will work in a full-time large animal ambulatory position, providing clinical care alongside VCPR consultation services. The caseload will predominantly focus on calf health and cow-calf, stocker and feedlot medicine, with a smaller proportion of dairy work. The role offers a balance of autonomous ambulatory work and collaboration with fellow veterinarians, with time to strategize, share knowledge and support one another. The successful veterinarian will also have opportunities to develop their clinical skills alongside experienced mentors, with support for their individual career goals and professional growth. The schedule includes minimal Saturdays.

Practice Details
The practice is a dedicated large animal veterinary clinic providing veterinary services, animal products and milk replacer to a diverse clientele across multiple states. The practice has developed an innovative approach to large animal medicine and has become particularly involved in the calf-raising industry. Its clinical work encompasses calf health, cow-calf, stocker, feedlot and dairy medicine, including VCPR consultation services. The practice places a strong emphasis on client relationships, innovative processes, collaboration and providing veterinarians with opportunities to contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Team
The veterinary team consists of four DVMs with whom the incoming Associate Veterinarian will work closely. The team environment combines independent clinical work with collaboration, allowing doctors to come together to strategize and support one another. Experienced veterinarians are available to support clinical development and mentorship, while the incoming doctor will also have the opportunity to contribute their own ideas, help grow the practice and play a role in the success of the wider team and client base.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
