Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. They are a companion animal clinic that provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, offering routine wellness, involved medical cases, surgery, dentistry, and radiography. They are AAHA-accredited and utilize hands-free radiology and fear-free techniques where possible. Their proximity to a 24-hour specialty hospital supports advanced medical needs for their patients.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital’s current hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including routine wellness, involved medical cases, surgery, dentistry, and radiography. Preventive health care is emphasized, with a strong focus on client education regarding annual blood panels and heartworm and flea prevention.
Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and maintains high standards of patient care, diagnostics, and record-keeping through regular inspections. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, EKG, Tonopen, in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, an in-office surgical suite, and diagnostic imaging capabilities. Services offered include advanced care, diagnostic imaging, primary care, allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, dental X-rays, dentistry, ear checks, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health exams, hospitalization, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, and spays and neuters.
Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs and 5 support staff, including 2 RVTs, working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
