Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital in Sacramento seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This AAHA-accredited practice is committed to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine and compassionate care, offering a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and clients.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and closed on weekends, allowing for a healthy work-life balance with no weekend or after-hours requirements. The Associate Veterinarian position is a full-time role within these hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a wide range of services, including wellness exams, preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, geriatric support, urgent and emergency care, hospice, and end-of-life care. The role also includes supporting the hospital’s overnight boarding services, ensuring patients receive attentive and stress-free care. This position is best suited for an experienced veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building strong, lasting client relationships.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital offers comprehensive veterinary services, including urgent and emergency care, routine wellness exams, surgery, and dentistry. With advanced in-house diagnostic capabilities, the hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG/EKG, and digital dental X-rays, along with full laboratory services. The facility also provides overnight boarding with separate areas for cats and dogs, outdoor runs, and personalized daily care to ensure patient comfort.

The practice is home to 1 DVM supported by an experienced and compassionate team of technicians and support staff. The culture emphasizes teamwork, trust, and professionalism, creating a collaborative environment focused on delivering the highest standard of care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
