Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Caring for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and occasional wildlife patients, this AAHA accredited hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care across a diverse caseload. This opportunity is suited to experienced veterinarians looking to work within a collaborative environment while gaining exposure to a variety of cases across two hospital locations.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality medical care to a wide range of companion animals and exotic species. Responsibilities include preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, reproductive services, senior pet care, puppy and kitten care, and exotic animal medicine. You will work closely with clients to develop treatment plans, provide education, and maintain strong relationships built on trust and communication. The role offers exposure to a diverse caseload that includes wildlife patients and the opportunity to rotate between two hospitals, working with different teams and client populations. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Practice Details
This AAHA accredited practice has served the local community for more than 40 years and provides comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and exotic animal care. Services include preventative care, diagnostic care, surgical services, dental services, wildlife care, puppy and kitten care, reproductive services, senior pet care, and exotic pet care. Equipment and facilities include digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound with colour Doppler, laser surgery equipment, an ICU, and a dedicated exotic and avian treatment space. The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. Rotating shifts are available, and schedules may vary based on hospital needs and preferences. The practice maintains a strong commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and delivering high-quality patient care.

Team
The practice is staffed by 8 veterinarians and a great tenured support team. Team members work alongside approximately 30 support staff, including experienced technicians, assistants, and client service representatives, supported by a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. The culture is highly collaborative and team-oriented, with many veterinarians having been part of the practice for more than eight years, creating an environment focused on mentorship, support, and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
